Introduction by Mick Farren
Since we first met some time in 1970, Larry Wallis, frequently larger than life, brilliant a lot of the time, but also often perturbed, has moved through the fair and ridden with what Charles Shaar Murray used to call the Lewis Leather Brigade with all ferocity of Captain Pugwash with a red Fender. At times we have despaired of Larry, fearing he might fall victim to all of those South London demons that regularly mounted attacks on his psyche, but, in the last couple of years, the flag over his Walworth Road fortress has been once again been proudly flying, a CD is off the launchpad, and I'm hoping that he is back where he's supposed to be. That is supplying a fine, rock & roll good time by appointment, not only for me and the closer lads, but the wider audience that he definitely deserves.

In the Larry Wallis Files

A Larry Wallis State of Mind - a poem by Pete Frame, inspired by Larry Wallis A poem by Pete Frame, the venerable rock journalist famous for his "Rock Family Trees". It was unearthed recently by Pete whilst looking through some unpacked boxes at this home. It concerns none other than Larry Wallis and his propensity back in the day for getting somewhat wasted. The poem has been published here along with the anecdote behind it, which is equally amusing.
